Laurie Glass, who is an active member of ED Support and whose screen name is Hope, lauched a website over a year ago. Freedom From Eating Disorders provides encouragement, inspiration and hope. Visitors can find bookmarks, journaling pages, articles, poems, activities to use as distractions from behaviors and more. Visit often as Laurie updates the website on a regular basis.

Eating disoders reach all populations and age groups. As more research is conducted more light is cast on groups that may not have been focused on in the past. Most recently, People Magazine has asked one of our members from the forum board to be featured in an upcoming issue that will focus on eating disorders and populations it is found in. We wish our member the best and look forward to seeing the print copy as it is made available to the public.
Member Interviewed on National Public Radio
NPR (National Public Radio) is an internationally acclaimed producer and distributor of noncommercial news, talk, and entertainment programming. Recently, they did a month long focus on African Americans and Mental Health issues. One of the members on the ED-Support site was asked to be interviewed regarding African Americans and Eating Disorders. The interview, which lasted about fifteen minutes, brought a lot of exposure to Eating Disorders in the African American population and to our own site. We congratulate our member on a job well done.
